A statement was issued by the Kurdistan Region Presidency today regarding the shelling of Kurdistan Worker' Party, PKK bases in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The KRP condemns the attacks on PKK which resulted in civilian casualties.

The statement added that the PKK should also take its fighting away from the locations where there is a presence of civilians.

The statement also reiterated President Barzani's call to both the government of Turkey and the Kurdistan Workers' Party to resort back to the very valuable peace process in Turkey.
