In a message addressed to the peoples of Turkey, Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani congratulated the successful completion of the Turkish general election and pledged his continued support to the peace process and the democratic process in Turkey.

He also congratulated the People’s Democratic Party or HDP leadership for their strong showing in the election saying, “I am very pleased to see that Kurds in Turkey have been able for the first time to enter the parliament as a political party. I congratulate the leadership and members and supporters of HDP."
