Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, (Krp.org)- President Masoud Barzani received a Canadian delegation headed by Prime Minister Stephen Harper today in Erbil. During the meeting President Barzani welcomed the Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation and expressed his gratitude for Canada's great role in the current war against the terrorists of the Islamic State. President Barzani took the opportunity to express his condolences to the Prime Minister for the loss of Sgt. Andrew Doiron who was killed due to an unfortunate friendly fire incident by the Peshmerga forces in March.

The Prime Minister commended the Kurdistan Region's military victories against the terrorists and added that the support for the Kurdistan Region by the international community will continue as the terrorists of the Islamic State pose a great danger against the entirety of the free world.
