Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani met with Turkish Kurdish parliamentarians Layla Zana and Sırrı Süreyya Önder in Salahaddin today.

The Kurdish politicians delivered a letter from the Kurdish leader Abdula Ocalan to the President. They said that Abdula Ocalan closely follows the events in Kurdistan, and he commends the efforts of President Barzani in addressing the political and security challenges facing the people of Kurdistan.

President Barzani expressed his gratitude for the sentiments and expressions of support from Abdula Ocalan. The President added that the whole world is conscious and grateful for the role of the people of Kurdistan in standing up to terrorists. He stated that the Kurd’s most potent weapon in the face of the current challenges is their unity, and expressed his full backing for the holding of a planned Kurdish congress.
