It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we received the news of the passing away of the Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East, His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV.

With passing away of Patriarch Mar Dinkha IV, we have lost an influential figure, who has always played a major role in promoting coexistence and the spirit of reconciliation and harmony not only in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, but also in regional and global levels.

On this painful occasion we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the body of the Assyrian Church of the East and the followers of the Church, in our name and on behalf of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
