A new agreement between the US and Turkey on the fight against ISIS in Syria includes sending Turkish soldiers to train Peshmerga forces, The Hurriyet daily newspaper has reported.

Part of the memorandum of understanding between Washington and Ankara on a program to train and equip moderate Syrian groups will also send some 20 Turkish soldiers to the Kurdistan region as military trainers, according to the report.

Hurriyet said Turkish soldiers already began Special Forces training with Peshmerga in the Kurdistan region in November. Last week, a US delegation had meetings in Turkey during which both parties agreed to conduct the training program.
