Canada to continue providing military and humanitarian assistance to Kurdistan Region
Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq, (gov.krd) - Kurdistan Regional Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani, yesterday in Erbil received the Canadian Ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Saccomani and his accompanying delegation, which included a number of officials from the economic, commercial, military and development sectors.

The Canadian Ambassador congratulated the people and government of the Kurdistan Region on the recent victories achieved by the Peshmerga forces, reiterating his country’s plans to continue its military and humanitarian assistance to the Kurdistan Region.

Ambassador Saccomani also highlighted the growing bilateral relations between Canada and the Kurdistan Region. He added that his government encourages Canadian companies and investors to work and invest in the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the military and humanitarian assistance that Canada is providing to the Kurdistan Region, expressing his hope that such assistance would continue.

He reaffirmed that the Canadian companies and investors are welcome to invest and work in the Kurdistan Region, which is eager to develop further its relations with Canada.
