rbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq, (gov.krd) - Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister, Qubad Talabani, yesterday received Jean-Marc Germain, member of the French Parliament and Alain Guépratte, French Consul General in Erbil.

The two sides discussed the situation in Kurdistan Region and the latest developments in the war again the Islamic State terrorist organisation, known as ISIS.

Deputy Prime Minister Talabani expressed his concern about the terrorist attacks, carried out recently in Paris, killing 17 people, including the Chief-Editor and a number of members of the editorial board of the weekly Charlie Hebdo, policemen and other civilians. He expressed his sympathy with the people of France.

He also conveyed the gratitude of the Kurdistan Regional Government to the French delegation, for the humanitarian and military aid provided by France to the Kurdistan Region.
