The Democratic Union Party (PYD) Co-chair has praised the role of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces fighting hand in hand with YPG Kurdish fighters. He said that the Peshmerga have proved that it is the force of Kurds everywhere, not just the Kurdistan Region.

On Sunday, PYD Co-chair Salih Muslim addressed a seminar in Sweden regarding the current situation in Syrian Kurdistan. A number of Kurdish politicians and intellectuals attended the seminar.

Muslim talked about the resistance of Kurds in Kobani and set out the unity of Kurds as the main concept of the discussion.

He also talked about the Kurdish National Conference (KNC) and the general relationship of Kurds in today’s world and how Kurdish diplomatic relations with the rest of the world have developed.

He shed light on the relationship between Syrian, Turkish and Iraqi Kurds, praising the role of Peshmerga forces in fighting hand in hand with the People’s Protection Unit (YPG) fighters against Islamic State (IS) militants in Kobani and other Kurdish territories that have been captured by IS militants.

Muslim said that the Peshmerga have proved to all Kurds that it is not the force of only the Kurdistan Region but all parts of Kurdistan.
