Istanbul protest condemns Kurdish executions in Iran
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Supporters of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) condemned the execution of Kurdish activists in Iran at a protest outside the Iranian consulate in Istanbul.

The protesters the Iranian regime for continued executions, and called on the international community to adopt a serious position against the Islamic Republic.

“Iranian authorities executed 79 people, including 17 Kurds, in the last 50 days,” said a statement by PAK.

“The Iranian government is sending young Kurds to the gallows without any mercy, just because they are defending their simplest legitimate national rights," it added.

The demonstrators called for the international community to "to break its silence and take a serious and responsible position toward the Iranian regime's practices against Kurdish activists."

The protesters compared the Iranian regime to the Islamic State (ISIS) in their brutality towards the human rights.

The demonstrators vowed that executions of Kurdish activists by the Iranian regime would not deter the Kurdish people from their struggle for legitimate demands.
