Kurds make significant gains against ISIL in Iraq
Iraq’s Kurdish fighters, known as Peshmerga forces, have made significant gains in their fight against the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group.

The Kurdish fighters have managed to retake three villages from the ISIL militants in the northern city of Kirkuk.

Local officials said a main highway was closed and residents were banned from using the road

Kurds have also recently managed to liberate areas in the city of Erbil.

The Iraqi army, backed by Peshmerga forces, has recaptured over two dozen villages southwest of Erbil, and east of the city of Mosul.

The ISIL terrorists control some parts of Syria and Iraq. They are engaged in crimes against humanity in the areas under their control. ISIL militants have terrorized and killed people of all communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, and Christians.
