Salahadin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, (krp.org)- President Barzani held a meeting today at his office in Salahadin where he welcomed the returning Peshmerga forces who had been stationed in Kobane, Syrian Kurdistan. During the meeting President Barzani express his heartfelt appreciation for the Peshmerga forces in general and those stationed in Kobane in particular, adding that the Peshmerga forces in Kobane were conducting the honorable task of protecting the honor and dignity of the people of Kurdistan against the terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

President Barzani stated that hte Peshmerga forces of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq were ready to continue to provide military and other forms of support to the people of Kobane. The President also expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of the Peshmerga forces who had been killed by the terrorists since the start of the war in early August.
