Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, (Krp.org)- President Masoud Barzani received a United States military delegation today headed by General Martin Dempsey, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. During the meeting President Barzani initiated the talks by reiterating the message of gratitude to the United States for their air support against the terrorists of ISIS and added that the Kurdistan Region is in need of more support to completely defeat the terrorist group ISIS.

President Barzani also commented on the the courageous efforts of the Peshmerga forces, adding that with the limited resources that the Kurdistan Region has and with the war they are waging against terrorists, it is indeed a source of pride to be a Peshmerga fighter.

General Martin Dempsey began by offering his condolences to the families and loved ones of the Peshmerga forces who had lost their lives as a result on the war against ISIS and also congratulated the Peshmerga forces for their exceptional military advances against the terrorists. General Martin also stated that the United States will continue to support the Kurdistan Region with the ultimate aim of ridding the country of ISIS altogether.
