Erbil hosts successful medical and dental exhibition
Erbil, Kurdistan (KRG.org) – More than 200 companies from 19 countries are participating in Medicare Iraq – Erbil, an exhibition held from 26-28 May at the Erbil International Fair Ground in Sami Abdulrahman Park. Governor of Erbil Nawzad Hadi, Minister of Health Rekawt Hama Rasheed, Government Spokesperson Safeen Dizayee, and other officials cut the ribbon to open the event.

Medical companies with a wide range of specializations are showcasing their products and services at Medicare Iraq – Erbil, seeking entry into the expanding market of Kurdistan and the rest of Iraq and to identify retailers and local partners.

Dr Dara Rashid Mahmud, Director General of Health Affairs at the KRG Ministry of Health, said, “The Ministry of Health is keen to work closely with partners to further improve health care and its supporting services in the community, which would better enable our citizens to access quality health[care] within a safe environment.”

The exhibition is organized by IFP Iraq, whose general manager stated, “Iraq Medicare – Erbil has grown from a small exhibition to a large fair backed by demand for healthcare investments…[bringing] in a large number of big industry players and healthcare stakeholders from all over the region across a tailor-made platform to network and share expertise with industry professionals; present their business to future partners from across the globe; and identify the latest developments and potential prospects.”

The fourth Iraqi Dental Reunion event is also running concurrently, where the presence of international companies and networking is enriched by courses in training, best practices, and technological development in the field.

The three day Medicare Iraq – Erbil exhibition is open to the public and is free of charge. More information is available at the exhibition’s website.
