Several explosions took place on Wednesday that hit different areas of the capital consecutively, according to a police source in Baghdad province.

“No one knew the nature of the bombings that occurred this morning in Zafaraniyah area (eastern Baghdad), al-Senaa street near the University of Technology (the center) , al-Shulaa (Northern) and al-Bayaa area (southern),” the source told “Shafaq News”.

The source added that " Sadr City in eastern Baghdad has witnessed bombings," noting that "the security forces imposed cordon on places of events while ambulances transported the victims to hospital but didn’t know their number yet".
