KDP to suggest Confederalism as a solution to overcome conflicts in Iraq
As Erbil-Baghdad pending issues remain unsolved, KDP is reportedly wants to suggest Confederalism as a new mechanism of power sharing.
According to the report, federalism is widely believed as a failed system of power sharing that did not work for Iraqi’s Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.
Confederalism is defined as a union of states in which each member state retains some independent control over internal and external affairs.
