The Iraqi Parliament speaker, Osama al-Nujaifi criticized and condemned Maliki’s policies in different part of Iraq in a press conference on February 24th.

Osama al-Nujaifi, the Iraqi parliament speaker, today, February 24, 2014, held a press conference in the Iraqi Parliament palace giving statements to the media on ongoing issues in Iraq, especially the failure of Al-Maliki's cabinet to provide stabilities in many of the Iraqi cities and the outstanding Erbil-Baghdad negotiations on budget.

Al-Nujaifi strongly condemned the Iraqi government's economic sanction on the KRG and the people of Kurdistan Region, stating that he is not welcoming this decision. He described Maliki's decision as illegal.

The head of the Iraqi Council of Representatives also underlined the issues of instabilities in a number of Iraqi cities especially in Anbar, saying that government has clearly failed in the security case of those provinces which are more than 6.

Al-Nujaifi calls the influential Shiite religious leader Muqtada al-Sadr to give up on his last week`s decision and get back onto the Iraqi politics.

He, furthermore, said that al-Sadr's withdrawal from politics leaves a big gap and imbalances politics in Iraq.
