Iraq violence: Wave of blasts 'kills many'
At least 33 people have been killed in a wave of car bombings in and around the Iraqi capital Baghdad, officials say.

The blasts come a day after at least 23 people were killed in bomb explosions in the Iraqi capital.

As well as Baghdad, car bombers targeted the city of Hilla, south of the capital.

Last month, more than 1,000 people were killed in attacks which mostly hit Shia and government targets.

In Tuesday's attacks, bombs in mainly Shia districts of Baghdad killed at least 14 people.

And in the city of Hilla, at least three car bombs went off in different place, while at least two other bombs went off in nearby towns.

Police say all Tuesday's attacks were caused by cars parked in or near commercial areas and bus stations, reports the Associated Press (AP) news agency.
