On the occasion of the successful conclusion of the Kurdistan Region’s parliamentary election, I warmly congratulate the people of Kurdistan.

The success of this process is the success of the Kurdistan Region and it is a big achievement for our people. I call on all political parties and fellow citizens to maintain calm and to stop all kinds of celebratory gunfire. I also urge all sides to respect the results of the election from the Independent High Electoral Commission.
