IHEC: 2 million, 803 thousand citizens eligible to participate in Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections
The office of the Independent High Electoral Commission in Erbil stated that two million and 803 thousand citizens are eligible to participate in the parliamentary elections in Kurdistan Region.

A statement by the Kurdistani Regional Government said “According to the office of the IHEC in Erbil, one million and 195 thousand voters will be in Sulaimaniyah, 991 thousand voters will be in Erbil and 615 thousand voters will be in Douhouk.”

A statement by the IHEC cited “If the participation rate is 70%, the single seat will need 18 thousand votes and this number can be increased or decreased.”

The parliamentary elections of Kurdistan Region will be held in the 21st of September where 1129 candidates of 31 political parties will compete to occupy 100 seats and 11 others for the non-Kurdish constituents.
