After four years, Facebook and Twitter are back online in Tehran—at least for some local Internet service providers, though the sites are still blocked for others, the Washington Post reports.

It's still unclear whether the renewed accessibility is a deliberate and permanent move on the part of the country's rulers, but new President Hasan Rouhani has been a critic of Internet filtering in the past.

The move also comes not long after Rouhani used Twitter to wish Jews "a blessed Rosh Hashanah."
