Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari met on September 11, 2013, in the office of the ministry Mr. Trevor Rajah, Executive Head of UN's Compensation Commision .

During the meeting, they reviewed Iraq's efforts in the fulfillment of its obligations to pay the remaining compensation to Kuwait.

Mr. Rajah praised the success of the efforts to end this file, and called on the importance of environmental reform program undertaken by the United Nations in the region.

On his part, Minister Zebari stressed Iraq's desire to complete all outstanding issue and close the compensation file.
