Nechirvan Barzani Attends Kurdistan careers conference in Erbil
After a very successful first year, Kurdistan Careers will attract more employers and job seekers to attend and continue bridging the employment gap.
Kurdistan Careers 2013 is supported by the Kurdistan Regional Government and will be held Under the Auspices of H.E. Prime Minister Nechirvan Idris Barzani. Over fifty employers will exhibit at the fair’s Jobs Bazaar, ranging from companies, recruitment agencies, training institutes, non-governmental organizations, and universities.
The aim of the fair is to improve access to private sector employment in the Kurdistan Region as well as raise awareness of the need for training and development. Kurdistan Careers 2013 will also host two Policy Discussion Panels, one of which will be moderated by H.E. Minister Qubad Talabani aimed at highlighting the need for private sector employment and the skills gap in the local labour market. Four Information Zones will also be hosted as part of the Jobs Bazaar dedicated to raising awareness on business etiquette, internships, entrepreneurship and health & safety matters in Kurdistan.
Kurdistan Careers is a public private partnership and will contribute significantly to creating a structured and transparent employment market. Minister Talabani has expressed that Kurdistan Careers “will be essential for citizens seeking employment and training opportunities and for companies eager to employ talented individuals”.
