A car bomb exploded in western Mosul on Wednesday, killing and injuring security forces and civilians, local media reported.

Security source announced “A car bomb driven by a suicide bomber exploded targeting a headquarter of the Federal Police in Ma’asg area of western Mosul to result in killing five security elements and injuring two civilians.”

“A security force hurried to the explosion area and transferred the injuries to the nearby hospital and the dead bodies to the morgue,” the source concluded.
