In an effort to aid the total of 500 people infected with Aids in Iraq the Iraqi Ministry of Health plans to issue the 500 infected each with a monthly amount of 250,000-500,000 Iraqi dinars.

The Ministry of Health’s Spokesperson Dr. Zyad Tariq stated the Ministry of Health has requested the funds needed to aid the 500 people infected with Aids in Iraq from the Ministry of Finance.

Dr. Zyad Tariq also clarified the financial support issued monthly to those infected also includes those who have been infected with Aids through sexual transmission.

Statistics show a total of 500 people currently are infected with Aids in Iraq.
