Turkish artillery bombards Kurdistan’s border territories
Tens of hundreds of families living near the Turkish-Kurdistan border have left their houses over the fear of Turkish military operations under the excuse of the PKK’s activities.
The bombardment started at 2:50 and continued 3:30 am by the Turkish artillery on Kurdistan border. No physical and material damages have been yet reported.
Several thousand Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) rebels are believed to be based in hideouts in northern Iraq.
Tens of thousands of people have died since the PKK took up arms in 1984.
