Maliki's interrogation file will be submitted to parliament this week, says Iraqiya
Haidar al-Mullah said questioning any government official is the promotion of democratic practices.
Mullah added the interrogation will continue, noting that the legal committee is continuing to prepare the interrogation files, which will be presented during this week to the presidency of the House of Representatives.
Maliki's opponents - Iraqiya List, the Sadrist Movement and the Kurdish Blocs Coalition - have formed three committees, governmental, constitutional and legal, for the purpose of questioning al-Maliki. The opponents insist on withdrawing confidence from the PM.
President of Iraq Jalal Talabani three weeks ago rejected the request for withdrawing confidence from Maliki. Talabani said in statement that the number of collected signatures amounted to 160, not enough for the legal quorum of 164. For that reason Talabani decided not to send the signatures to the House of Representatives and returned them to the Kurdistan Region's presidency.
