Salahaddin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRP.org) - In a statement published in Kurdish, the Kurdistan Region Presidency condemned Tuesday’s violent attacks that occurred in Jolemerg area in Turkey and which according to news reports left several Turkish soldiers dead and injured.

“We strongly condemn the continuation of these attacks and killings and reiterate our unwavering and steadfast position that violence and armed conflict will not only hurt everyone but will also undermine efforts for a peaceful resolution of the problem,” the statement read.

The statement concluded by extending condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
