PM Barzani Condemns Khurmatu Attack, Calls for Greater Peshmerga-Iraqi Army Coordination
I extend my deepest condolences to the families of Colonel Saman Sabir Sleman, Commander of the Regiment of the First Brigade of the Joint Forces; Colonel Mohammed Raza Karim from the Ninth Armored Division of the Iraqi Army, and Sargent Sharif Ahmed Mohammed Amin who were tragically martyred in a targeted terrorist attack in Khurmatu today.
I pray God grants them eternal peace and brings comfort and solace to their families and fellow soldiers. My thoughts are with the injured.
On this occasion, I reaffirm the importance of close coordination between the Peshmerga Forces and the Iraqi Army to jointly address security threats and bring lasting peace and stability in the disputed territories.
