US-led Coalition hands over more than 70 military vehicles to Peshmerga
The Director General of Information and Awareness in the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs, Brigadier General Othman Muhammad, announced that the international coalition on Monday handed over a new aid convoy to the Ministry of Peshmerga, whose contents will be distributed to infantry brigades.
In an interview carried by Kurdish media, the brigadier general said "another part of the international coalition's logistical aid has arrived at the Ministry of Peshmerga within the framework of the coalition's efforts to arm the Peshmerga forces."
He explained that "it is scheduled to distribute this aid to the infantry brigades of the Ministry of Peshmerga and within the framework of the ministry's program."
"Today we handed over 70 military vehicles to the Ministry of Peshmerga," Colonel Wayne Maroto, a spokesman for the international coalition, said.
Colonel Wayne Maroto explained to Rudaw News Channel the aim of providing the Ministry of Peshmerga with these equipment, saying "these vehicles will be used in our partner force effort to ensure the enduring defeat of Daesh.”
