ERBIL — A fire incident at a school in central Erbil injured two teachers on Sunday, officials confirmed.

The fire erupted after students rushed outside a classroom for a break, head of Erbil directorate of education told BasNews.

“One of the students hit a kerosene heater and it caused the fire,” he added.

However, the fire was soon controlled, but two teachers were slightly injured.

They were transferred to hospital for treatments.
