Iranian President Again Threatens to Cut off Gulf Oil Exports
ERBIL — Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has once again threatened to disrupt other country’s oil exports through the Gulf if the US presses to halt Iranian oil exports.

“America should know... it is not capable of preventing the export of Iran’s oil,” Rouhani said on Tuesday at a ceremony in Semnan province.

“If it ever tries to do so... no oil will be exported from the Persian Gulf,” he added.

The Iranian president also said that the US would not succeed in its sanctions to bring the Iranian oil exports to zero.

“The most hostile group in America, with relation to Iran, has taken power,” Reuters reported. “Of course they never had a friendship with the people of Iran and we never trusted America or others 100 percent.”

Rouhani had previously threatened to cut off the Gulf exports, saying that the US “should not play with the lion’s tail”.
