Poland’s Independence Day Marked in Erbil
ERBIL — The Poland-Kurdistan Association organized an event on Sunday to mark the 100th anniversary of Poland’s rebirth as a state.

The event was attended by Polish Consul General Dominik Musial, head of Erbil provincial council, Ali Rashid, and several other officials.

Musial said that the Polish consulate general in Erbil has organized a ceremonial move to plant trees and celebrate Poland’s independence day.

Rashid said in a speech that following the end of World War I, several empires collapsed and many nations regained independence and established a country of their own, except for the Kurds, who are remaining the largest nation in the world without a state.
