Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani extended condolences to the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, for the deaths of more than twenty people caused by flash flooding in the Dead Sea area.

With deep sadness, I learned of the tragedy caused by flooding near the Dead Sea where more than twenty people, mostly students, died.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to you, the people and the Government of Jordan and the families of the victims.

May their souls rest in peace.
