Turkish Jets Bombard Kurdistan Border Areas
ERBIL - Turkish jets bombarded a number of villages on Wednesday in the Kurdistan Region border areas, allegedly targeting the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) headquarters.

The aircrafts, according to locals, shelled the areas near the villages of Sargale, Sgere, Amedi and Shiladze district in Duhok Province.

Talking to BasNews, head of local administration of Deraluke district, Mahmoud Nheli, said that the airstrikes were carried out early in the afternoon, adding that no casualty figures were known yet, but that great damages were caused to the areas.

However, the Turkish army in a statement claimed that it had neutralized 12 PKK fighters in Wednesday's attack.
