ERBIL - Kurdish prominent leader and president of the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) received on Saturday a delegation from the Iraqi Shi'ite Fatih Coalition to discuss the latest Iraqi politics.

The Kurdish influential leader and the Iraqi delegates had talks on resolving the remaining political disputes between Erbil and Baghdad, where the Fatih delegation underlined the role of the KDP in the past as well as the present in the process, Barzani's Press Office said in a statement.

The former president of the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi officials noted that solving the disagreements between Iraq and Kurdistan will serve the two sides, the statement added.

Barzani further stressed that rooting out the Issues between the two sides is dependent on preserving the constitutional rights of the Kurdish people based on a true partnership in the country and consensus so that any problems will happen again between Erbil and Baghdad.
