ERBIL — The Chancellor of Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC) Masrour Barzani received on Thursday the Serbian ambassador to Iraq, Uroš Balov, to discuss the latest political and security developments in the region.

The two officials reviewed the current political situation in the Kurdistan Region after the parliamentary elections on 30th September.

They reiterated the importance of further developing the relations between Serbia and Kurdistan in different areas of potential cooperation.

Balov highlighted the stability in the Kurdistan Region and valued the role of Kurdistan Peshmerga forces in the war against the Islamic State.

He noted that companies from Serbia are willing to invest in different sectors in the Kurdistan Region.
