Man Paints Big Kurdish Flag on Mountain in Koya
ERBIL - A Kurdish man in the Kurdistan Region's Koya district has painted a big Kurdish flag on a mountain to mark the first anniversary of the independence referendum.

Talking to BasNews, Ahmed Karim, the head of the project, pointed out that he had allocated a total of $ 3,000 for painting the Kurdish national flag "as part of his loyalty for the September 25 independence referendum."

He explained that the flag has been drawn on the Haibat Sulltan mountain in Koya near Erbil province.

"It is 25 meters long and 3 meters wide and 25 laborers worked on it," Karim said.
