KDP leader launches party’s campaign, vows to build stronger Kurdistan
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has launched its campaign for the Kurdistan Region’s parliamentary polls under the slogan of building a stronger Kurdistan.

During the opening speech of the party’s election campaign in Erbil on Tuesday, KDP leader Masoud Barzani said his party is looking for a big win in the Sept. 30 elections so they can build a stronger Kurdistan.

Barzani emphasized that during all the stages of its struggle for the people of Kurdistan, the KDP has been determined to achieve the Kurds’ legitimate rights and defend their achievements.

“The KDP works to build a stronger Kurdistan,” Barzani affirmed, noting that having a stronger Kurdistan requires a strong KDP.

The KDP President said a big win for the party in the elections would guarantee a strong government that can implement grassroots reforms and makes significant changes in all aspects of society.

He added that it is essential to recognize the achievements the KDP has accomplished for the Kurdistan Region.

“I do not make big promises, but I assure you that we do what is the best to serve you. We promise to be honest with you, and not compromise your rights,” Barzani stated.

“I urge you all to hold a peaceful election, respect the law, do not disturb the people [during the campaigning], do not insult anyone, and do not waste time responding to anyone’s insults.”
