General Directorate of Traffic stopped in Erbil province in Kurdistan Region all vehicles in the streets for five minutes starting from 11:00 until 11:05 on Wednesday morning to coincide with the celebration of Environment Day in Kurdistan.



The source at the Directorate said that “ this step comes to coincide with World Environment Day in Kurdistan and an expression of respect for the environment and conservation.

He added that Erbil is experiencing also a campaign to increase green space and contribute to the purification of the atmosphere and reduce the proportion of produced pollution in the environment.
