US Vice President Joe Biden spoke with the Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani on Thursday. On behalf of the United States, the Vice President extended a Happy Nowruz to the President and the people of the Kurdistan Region.

The two discussed bilateral relations, the latest political and security developments in Iraq, and disputes between Erbil and Baghdad. They both concurred that the disputes between Erbil and Baghdad be addressed through dialogue and understanding.
