President Jalal Talabani and the Prime Minister Nouri Kamil al- Maliki , during a phone call on Tuesday , discussed the recent political developments in Iraq.

The President , briefed al- Maliki about the results of his meeting with the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Mr. Osama al- Nujaifi . Talabani described results of the meeting as fruitful and encouraging towards resolving the problems and pave a suitable ground to hold the General National Conference in order to unify stances and bridge the gap among the political parties.
